Absecon Lighthouse is New Jersey”s tallest and the country”s third tallest lighthouse. First lit on January 15, 1857, it survives as Atlantic City”s oldest structure.
Visitors can climb to the top to see the original first-order Fresnel Lens, as well as 360 degree views of Atlantic City and Brigantine Island. Absecon Lighthouse offers free on-site parking, Keeper”s Cottage museum, Gift Shop, 2 acre park, Oil House exhibit, and a full roster of special events throughout the year.
